Canada English Center is a unique English language school
and Teacher Training Center near the Pacific Ocean in beautiful
downtown Vancouver, Canada.
We
have a 4 week TESL Certificate program and a 4 week TEC (Teaching
English to Children) Certificate. Our courses are internationally
recognized and designed for individuals who have little or
no experience teaching English. To register for the program
you must have an intermediate level of English with a good
understanding of both spoken and written English.
A TESL Certificate is the minimum requirement for many jobs,
and is recognized throughout the international community.
The
TESL Certificate course is a short intensive course of 4 weeks
duration. The course provides the building blocks you need
to begin your new career as an English teacher. We provide
both theoretical and practical training in the techniques
of teaching English as a second language. As well, we provide
a thorough review of English grammar.
Our
TEC Certificate Program is also 4 weeks and provides the foundation
for teaching young learners. This TESL program focuses on
teaching children ages 2-12, and the developmental stages
children go through. We also focus on a variety of disciplinary
methods, and what methods work best in a TESL classroom.
